A laboratory should be functional and aesthetically pleasing, but there are multiple criteria to consider. Laboratory furniture must suit the work that you do and be able to withstand the materials used to perform that work. It must be durable and easy to clean, and it is imperative that it function in a way that provides a smooth, efficient workflow.
Steel
Proven over many years of laboratory service, steel laboratory furniture is low-maintenance with trouble-free operation – especially in lab situations where furniture is subjected to heavy-duty loads of massive equipment.
With engineered formations and reinforcement, steel furniture is built to take it. Its environmentally friendly, electrostatically-applied powder coat finish is of laboratory grade formulation.
Select beautiful designer colors to create the pleasant, comfortable environment you want.

Plastic
Polypropylene is an extremely durable and non-corrosive material that cleans easily and does not stain.
Polypropylene is a solid surface, which maintains its appearance and color.
Work Surfaces
Work top material selection is a critical laboratory furniture decision. Surfaces could be exposed to reagents and caustic substances. Heavy equipment may need to be supported or only light duty tasks may be performed. There are a variety of work surfaces to choose from.
- Kemresin – resistant to acids, alkalies, solvents, heat, and abuse
- Stainless Steel – Resistant to a wide variety of reagents, recommended for sterile and radiological labs
- Hardwood – Suitable for physics tables, electronic benches, and tables where mechanical and physical work are prevalent
- Composite resin – Good chemical resistance to acids, alkalies and solvents
- High-Pressure Laminate – Fair chemical resistance to a wide-range of acids, alkalies, and solvents (best for light duty purposes)
